1.  How does the 2010 payment model work ?

In an effort to improve efficiency and serve our loyal customers to the best of our ability we are streamlining our process to provide an easier payment model for customers.  In January 2010 we will send all existing customers a MARCH 2010 sticker.  This will ensure continued service while we bed in our new model.  From January to March you can make small regular payments or lump sum payments to clear your first quarter's charge or clear your entire 2010 charge, the choice is yours.  At the beginning of April, if you have cleared your first quarter's charge, we will send you the next quarter sticker.  This will ensure collection up until June 2010.  And so forth for the rest of the year. 

2.  Do you still have an early pay discount ?

Of course.  Our early pay discount has been very popular and we will continue to reward our loyal customers who clear their balance by March 31st 2010.  The discounted price will be given to all customers who do this. 

3.  What if I have arrears ?

If you have arrears on your account from 2009 or prior, it is important that you contact credit control to make an agreement to clear your arrears.  As long as you comply with that agreement and pay your relevant quarter's charges, we will continue to issue your stickers and collect your waste. 

4.  Will I still get an invoice ?

We will write to you towards the end of each quarter informing you of your outstanding balance and how much you need to pay to get the next quarter sticker. 

5.  Are the council going to introduce a Brown bin ?

The introduction of the brown bin for food and garden waste in the main towns is planned for 2010. 

6.  Can you contact me via text messaging about my balance ?

The council will be introducing a text messaging service in 2010.  This will enable us to inform our customers when it is time to pay their next quarter's fees in time to get their new sticker.  Details to follow...
